Scotch® Filament Tape 890MSR is designed for performance in gas and oil exposure and is an industrial tape used in numerous metalworking applications. This tape features a clear, filament-reinforced polypropylene backing providing exceptional tensile strength, and is abrasion, moisture, scuff, and tear resistant, even when the tape is scored or pierced. This strong tape unrolls easily without curling, for simple application. The pressure-sensitive, modified synthetic rubber adhesive is specially formulated for strong, long-lasting adhesion to metal surfaces. The tape can be printed as desired in a print-seal process, for example for advertising or warning purposes. Recommended applications: Securing steel bands or wires used for reinforcing flexible power cables, risers, and umbilicals; Support and reinforcement for dynamic or static underwater applications under tension; Reel marking and joining metal panels; Bundling, reinforcing, and strapping; Closing and palletizing boxes; Bundling PVC and reinforcement.
