Our Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Tape 4735 features a conformable backing that stretches evenly to create sharp, precise paint lines. The adhesive and backing work together to minimize paint bleed-through and ensure smooth edges for an uninterrupted straight paint line. Recommended for automotive OEM applications, masking metal and plastic surfaces, indoor use (not for outdoor exposure), Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Tape 4735 can be successfully used with most solvent- or water-based paint systems and provides excellent color separation due to its thinness (typical thickness of 5.3 mils). Application is easy; the easy-tear, pressure-sensitive tape features a natural rubber adhesive for good immediate adhesion. The smooth, cleanly cut edges create a continuous straight paint line. 4735 can also be used on curved or hard-to-reach areas. This masking tape is conformable for easy application in areas with small radii and depressions, increasing production efficiency. Furthermore, the vinyl backing is heat-resistant and can be removed in one piece. It works with modern high-temperature bake cycles to remain under heat stress yet remove cleanly, and the translucent backing also allows visual confirmation of adhesive wet-out on the substrate. Importantly, our Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Tape 4735 has minimal neck-down when stretched for precise paint lines to save rework time. The rubber adhesive is paint/solvent resistant to minimize cleanup of adhesive residue and waste from paint undercut.
