Scotch® Bidirectional Filament Tape 8959 is an extreme tape for extreme applications. It's designed as a high-performance specialty packaging tape combining a strong polypropylene backing reinforced with continuous fiberglass yarns in two directions, with a synthetic rubber adhesive. Our heavy-duty tape is specially formulated for strong adhesion to many different substrates, including metal, plastic, and fiberboard. A multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive system prevents delamination and protects the tape from tearing. Scotch® Bidirectional Filament Tape 8959 is an ideal choice for strong box reinforcement, heavy-duty sealing, shipping, strapping, and palletizing. Scotch® Bidirectional Filament Tape 8959 is reinforced with continuous fiberglass yarns in both the length and width directions, combined with a biaxially oriented polypropylene backing. The multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive prevents the fiberglass layer from separating from the backing. Brands, barcodes, and other images are visible through the transparent tape. Many Applications Use fiberglass strapping tape where strength is critical. It's ideal for securing loads and sealing packages for shipping and handling. Industrial and commercial users include manufacturers and distributors of food and beverages, sporting goods, tubing, metal products, automotive parts, and furniture. Applications include box sealing and closing, packaging, securing, strapping, and general bundling. Can be applied with a portable hand-held dispenser or a stationary dispenser for measured lengths.
