With its increased tensile strength, Scotch® Filament Tape 898 offers an excellent solution for fully overlapping L-clip box closures, bundling pipes, or reinforcing large bulk containers. Made with a clear, fiber-reinforced polypropylene backing, this tape is abrasion-resistant and moisture, wear, and tear resistant, even when notched or pierced. The tape unrolls easily without curling and is simple to apply. The multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive system prevents delamination. The synthetic adhesive adheres well to materials commonly used in packaging, such as corrugated board, fiberboard, plastics, and metals. Recommended applications: L-shaped closures, metal and pipe bundling, high-strength reinforcement, heavy-duty strapping.
