For a superior finish, use Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip discs. Our non-woven discs offer a safe alternative to wire brushes for effectively removing weld spatter and rust and old paint layers. They cover a wider surface area and deliver a finer finish, potentially eliminating the need for subsequent finishing steps. Scotch-Brite Clean and Strip discs utilize a sharp, synthetic, extra-coarse silicon carbide abrasive grain, typically used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. It breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, resulting in a superior finish. Our Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products. We combine them with non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibers into a system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The discs are perfect for removing soft coatings. The open material, combined with the aggressive abrasive mineral, creates a smooth-running, clog-resistant wheel. Because the fibers don't clog easily, the abrasive minerals maintain their high cutting performance.
