Use the Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Roll for aggressive blending and finishing. Our Cut and Polish Rolls can be used to manually clean and polish inner diameters or can be mounted on a surface grinder for heavier tasks – including metalworking, paint preparation, and rust removal. These rolls utilize aluminum oxide mineral. This strong, durable mineral self-sharpens during use, revealing new cutting edges – unlike traditional natural abrasives which dull faster. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, and strength, it's widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a variety of materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface finishing products with abrasive minerals in a non-woven fiber layer. The combination of abrasive grains and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material stays cool during use and is clog-resistant. This means the fibers clog less easily, and the abrasive minerals maintain high performance.
