The powerful combination of abrasive and density makes the Scotch-Brite™ EX2 deburring wheel suitable for applications requiring a moderate degree of flexibility, wheel hardness, and edge retention. Our deburring wheels utilize a unique resin system that minimizes streaking and generates less heat. Their open web structure allows for low-temperature operation and prevents clogging, reducing the risk of discoloration and warping of parts, and extending wheel life. They are available with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasives. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic abrasive generally used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral with a powerful cutting action and long life. While silicon carbide wears down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish. EX2 deburring wheels are available in fine or medium grit. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface finishing products with abrasive minerals embedded in a non-woven fiber layer. Combining abrasive minerals with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life. The open web structure keeps the material cool during use and resists clogging, ensuring optimal performance of the abrasive material and fibers that are less prone to clogging.
