Remove stubborn contaminants and coatings and achieve a consistent finish with the Scotch-Brite™ Heavy Duty Hand Pad 7440. Our strong, brown pads cut quickly and easily through contaminants and oxides to break down adhesive layers during heavy cleaning, deburring, and finishing applications. The super-high density of the 7440 Heavy Duty Hand Pad structure makes it our most aggressive and durable hand pad. They remove rust and dirt, leaving a consistent finish on the workpiece surface, ready for primer or paint application. Made from ultra-durable fibers that withstand aggressive use on the toughest surfaces without fraying or tearing. Designed to stay clean longer than steel wool, the 7440 pads deliver comparable results to 4-grade steel wool, without the rust and splinters. Our pads can be used manually, in conjunction with a hand pad block, or on a belt sander for faster work on larger surfaces.
