With Scotch-Brite™ Clean & Strip XT Pro Discs, you can achieve greater flexibility without compromising strength when preparing metal surfaces or removing rust and paint. Our discs feature a combination of renewed fiber threads, resin, and a silicon carbide-based abrasive mineral, forming a thick, open web. The elastic nature of the fibers means these discs can follow the contours of the workpiece with greater precision, achieving a larger contact area for faster material removal. They adapt to weld seams, allowing for sanding without removal, and access hard-to-reach areas without damaging the substrate. Silicon carbide cuts more aggressively, resulting in a fine finish. Undesirable burrs, dirt, and contaminants are effectively removed while maintaining the workpiece geometry, reducing rework and increasing productivity. Furthermore, the grinding dust can escape through the web's openings, reducing clogging. The reinforcing resin of the disc gradually breaks down with use, releasing new fibers and super-sharp silicon carbide abrasive, ensuring consistent cutting performance throughout the disc's lifespan. The high-quality fibers are resistant to chipping and perform well on edges. These discs also offer low vibration and less sparking, high-speed operation, and a long service life.
