Use the Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Sheet for aggressive blending and finishing. Our Cut and Polish sheets can be used for manual cleaning and polishing of internal diameters or can be attached to a surface grinder for heavier tasks – including metalworking, paint preparation, and rust removal. These sheets utilize aluminum oxide abrasive minerals. This strong, durable mineral self-sharpens during use, revealing new cutting edges – unlike traditional natural abrasives which dull faster. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, and strength, it's widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for numerous materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface treatment products with abrasive minerals in a non-woven fiber layer. Combining abrasive minerals with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material stays cool during use and is clog-resistant. This means the fibers clog less easily, and the abrasive minerals maintain high performance.
