Use the Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish unitized wheel for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals and in applications where portability is necessary. Our unitized wheels can replace many conventional abrasives, such as those on rubber bonded wheels and small mounted points. These wheels utilize aluminum oxide abrasive minerals. This strong, durable mineral self-sharpens during use, revealing new cutting edges – while traditional natural abrasive grains dull faster. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, and strength, it's widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for numerous materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface conditioning products with abrasive minerals embedded in a non-woven fiber layer. Combining abrasive minerals with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material stays cool during use and is clog-resistant. This means the fibers are less prone to clogging, and the abrasive minerals maintain high performance.
