The Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Wheel helps remove surface defects and coarse grinding marks, and blends weld marks and machining irregularities, while providing a consistent grit finish. Our cut and polish wheels are available in various diameters and widths. They can be used with robotics, surface grinders, bench grinders, backstands, and centerless grinders. These wheels utilize aluminum oxide mineral. This strong, durable mineral self-sharpens during use, revealing new cutting edges – unlike traditional natural abrasives which dull faster. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, and strength, it's widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for numerous materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface finishing products with abrasive minerals embedded in a non-woven fiber layer. The combination of abrasive grains and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material stays cool during use and is clog-resistant. This prevents the fibers from clogging quickly and keeps the abrasive minerals performing at a high level.
