Scotch Brite™ EXL Deburring Wheels feature a hard, dense consistency for fast deburring, finishing, and polishing of all types of metals, composites, and glass. They leave a smooth, clean surface. Our EXL deburring wheels are conformable, making them ideal for deburring stamped or laser-cut parts and finishing after belt sanding. A unique resin system minimizes marring, saving time on cleanup and preparation. The twisted design and clean, even wear keep these wheels running smoothly, allowing the user to achieve a professional finish with less effort. Scotch Brite material stays cool and ensures even wear, with new abrasive material constantly being exposed. The wheels are well-suited for heat-sensitive substrates. Their strength ensures longer life. They are available with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasives. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic abrasive commonly used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral with a powerful cutting action and long life. While silicon carbide wears down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products where the abrasive is embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix. The combination of abrasive and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life. The open web structure keeps the material cool during use and is clog-resistant, preventing the fibers from clogging and allowing the abrasive minerals to maintain high performance.
