Use Scotch-Brite™ Hand Pad 7447+ for consistently fine finishing results on a variety of tasks, including tough cleaning jobs. Our hand pads offer both flexibility and effective cutting action, along with precise hand control for ease of use. They feature densely packed aluminum oxide abrasive grains, guaranteeing a smooth, beautiful finish on various substrates in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. They are suitable for use on wood, metal, plastic, ceramic, porcelain, glass, rubber, or composites. Aluminum oxide is widely used in grinding applications and for sanding and finishing. They are comparable to grade 1 steel wool, but unlike steel wool, they don't fray during use, rust after use, or leave behind fine metal splinters. The non-woven, open web material is clog-resistant and can be used dry, with water, or certain solvents. After use, it can be rinsed and reused. Use our versatile chestnut-brown hand pad in a variety of ways. It fits comfortably in the hand for precise control and can be used with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, and on a belt sander for larger areas. The fast-cutting, fine aluminum oxide abrasive grains in our pads make them a popular choice for industrial professionals. This durable abrasive self-sharpens during use, creating new cutting edges continuously, unlike traditional abrasives such as garnet, which wear down quickly. This pad is a unique surface conditioning product consisting of abrasive grains embedded in non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibers. This combination of abrasive grains and fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material is clog-resistant and ensures that the abrasive minerals maintain high performance because the nylon fibers clog less easily.
