Use Scotch-Brite™ Hand Pad 7447 PRO for a variety of materials and tasks. It offers both flexibility and effective cutting action, allowing for precise hand control and consistently fine finishing results. Our pad features densely packed aluminum oxide abrasive grains, producing a smooth, fine finish on wood, metal, plastic, ceramic, porcelain, glass, rubber, and composites. It's comparable to 0-grade steel wool, but unlike steel wool, it doesn't rust after use and leaves no fine metal particles. The non-woven, open web material is clog-resistant and can be used dry, with water, or certain solvents. It can be rinsed and reused after use. Use our chestnut-brown pad in a variety of ways. It's comfortable in the hand for precise control and can be used with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, and on a belt sander for larger areas. The fast-cutting, fine aluminum oxide abrasive grains in our pads make them the first choice for many industrial professionals. The durable abrasive grain self-sharpens during use, creating new cutting edges, unlike traditional abrasives such as garnet, which wear down quickly. Besides sanding and finishing, aluminum oxide is often used in polishing applications due to its high cutting speed, hardness, strength, and low heat retention. Use it on numerous substrates in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. This pad is a unique surface conditioning product, with abrasive grains fused into non-woven nylon fibers – a breakthrough fiber coating technology that gives Scotch-Brite PRO abrasive products higher cutting speed and more consistent scratch than competing non-woven abrasives. Finishing parts is faster and easier with these pads. The combination of abrasive grains and fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life. The open web material is clog-resistant, ensuring the abrasive minerals maintain high performance by preventing the nylon fibers from clogging.
