The Scotch-Brite™ HS Blend and Finish disc aggressively tackles weld spatter, weld seam finishing, deburring, and rust removal – leaving a consistent, satin finish on the workpiece. Our powerful discs with an open web structure combine conformability with superior durability and cutting action – completing the job faster and with a better finish. If you frequently use wire brushes or scrapers but are frustrated by the inability to reach tight spots, replace them with these discs. The conformability of Scotch-Brite allows access to hard-to-reach areas. These highly efficient, long-lasting discs are also clog-resistant and withstand heavy use, significantly reducing your grinding costs while increasing productivity. These discs do not affect the geometry of the part and can be used with a bench grinder, angle grinder, or straight grinder, eliminating the need for manual scraping. When a wider approach is required for the work surface to reach intricate areas with the outside of the disc, multiple discs can be mounted on an axial grinder or bench grinder. They contain an aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This strong, durable mineral self-sharpens during use, constantly revealing new cutting edges – while traditional natural abrasive grains dull faster. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, and strength, it's widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for numerous materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasive materials consist of unique surface conditioning products with abrasive minerals embedded in a non-woven fiber layer. Combining abrasive minerals with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open web material stays cool during use and is clog-resistant. This prevents the fibers from clogging and keeps the abrasive minerals performing at a high level.
