Use the powerful Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend HS quick-change discs for cleaning and lightly deburring workpieces for a fine finish. Our discs feature sharp-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive minerals. These minerals are bonded in lines to a very strong non-woven nylon backing for a consistent abrasive pattern. They are ideal for achieving a satin or matte finish on brass, steel, bronze, tin, and stainless steel, as well as metal-coated plastics. The robust non-woven nylon backing ensures these powerful Buff and Blend discs maintain their stiffness and do not tear or fray during heavy duty edge or irregular surface work. Use our powerful discs in the Buff and Blend line of standard abrasives to clean and lightly deburr workpieces to achieve the desired finish. These are our stiffest, most durable, and most aggressive discs. They are the best products in our range for use on irregular shapes such as pipe threads, the edges of molded glass containers, and molded non-ferrous metal components. The non-woven construction of our discs allows the material to conform to any contours and protrusions. The aggressive cutting action efficiently removes small, stubborn burrs while preventing damage or grooves in the surface, resulting in a consistent finish. Use HS discs with grit MED or VFN for workpieces requiring a very fine decorative high-gloss finish, such as in lock and latch applications. Use discs with grit CRS for applications requiring faster cutting or a coarse finish. The coarse abrasive pattern makes CRS grit discs ideal for a satin or matte finish, as well as for cleaning and blending surface imperfections.
