Vanaf de DMG250-R en F-serie zijn alle modellen voorzien van verwisselbare en omkeerbare onderzetmessen met verzonken bouten. Doordat de mesbouten verzonken zijn blijft er geen materiaal achter. Vanaf de DMG803 zijn de modellen voorzien van twee cilinders. Een groot voordeel hiervan is dat er een betere krachtverdeling op de schalen ontstaat waardoor ze synchroon sluiten.  Door de speciale cilinderopstelling en de evenaar bewegen deze minimaal waardoor er nagenoeg geen slijtage aan de interne slangen ontstaat.  Bij de DMG multigrijpers wordt geen gebruik gemaakt van aanslagnokken. De cilinders zijn voorzien van een lichte einddemping.
