The hydraulic clamp has two jaws, one fixed and one movable. A cylinder integrated into the cast clamp housing controls the movable jaw. A safety valve on the cylinder cover ensures that the cylinder remains under pressure in case of hose damage. The hydraulic clamp is driven using the rotation function if available. If no rotation function is available, the clamp can be operated with an external hydraulic unit.
